The samurai is an important symbol in Japanese culture. Their Bushido code, “the way of the warrior,” made them role models for discipline, respect, and ethical behavior. The word “侍” means “Samurai” in kanji is printed on the Muay Thai shorts. The designer would like to emphasize that no matter what type of warrior you are in the world, you must carry out the basic morals of a fighter.
